The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on November 29, 2023, issued an addendum to the DGS circular no. 19 of 2023 related to the Revalidation Training Course of Revalidation of Nautical Grade Certificate of Competency (CoC) of Masters and Deck Officers issued under STCW 78.
The following has been stated:
• It has been stated that all the MTIs are requested to inform the concerned/respective MMDs about their readiness for the inspection for the said course. Accordingly, the concerned/respective MMDs may depute surveyors to carry out an inspection of the institute and submit the final report in the prescribed format to the Directorate.
