The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on December 07, 2023, issued a draft of the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2023 to further amend the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950, after consultation with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation.
The following amendment has been stated:
In rule 29 which states ‘Procedure for execution of contracts’, the sub-rule (2), in the proviso, for the words “rupees five crores”, the words “rupees twenty–five crore” shall be substituted.
The notice is hereby given to all the person likely to be affected that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration after 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion, that may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules within the period specified above, will be considered by the Central Government.
