Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on December 06, 2023, issued the date of establishment and withdrawal of Indian Standards related to Medical Textiles.

The following Indian Standards were established on November 21, 2023:

• IS 863: 2023 Medical Textiles — Cotton Bandage Cloth — Specification (Third Revision)

• IS 6396: 2023/ISO 3887: 2017 Steels — Determination of the Depth of Decarburization (Third Revision)

• IS 9139: 2023 Malleable Iron Shots and Grits for Use in Foundries — Specification (First Revision)

The following Indian Standards will be withdrawn from February 21, 2024:

• IS 6396: 2000 Methods of Measuring Decarburized Depth of Steel (Second Revision) 

The following Indian Standards will be withdrawn from May 21, 2024:

• IS 863: 1988 Specification for Handloom Cotton Bandage Cloth, Non-Sterilized (Second Revision)

• IS 9139: 1979 Specification for Malleable Iron Shots and Grits for Use in Foundries
