The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh on December 08, 2023, notified the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the UT of Ladakh (Compliance Audit), Regulations, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Regulation 2 lays down various definitions for the terminology like “Regulated Entities” and others.
•Regulation 3 talks about the Compliance Audits.
•Regulation 4 talks about the Requirements of a Consultant/Auditor.
•Regulation 5 talks about the expenses.
•Regulation 9 lays down that the Commission may at any time and on such terms, as it may think fit, amend any provision of these Regulations for the purpose of meeting the objectives for which these Regulations have been framed.
These Regulations shall come into force from December 08, 2023.
