The Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers (MoCF) on December 07, 2023, issued the Textiles — Polypropylene (PP)/High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Laminated Woven Sacks for Mail Sorting, Storage, Transport and Distribution (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall apply to Textiles — Polypropylene (PP)/ High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Laminated Woven Sacks for Mail Sorting, Storage, Transport and Distribution and shall not apply to goods or article meant for export
• The said goods shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard specified in column (2) of the said Schedule and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018
• The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority.
