The Government of Bihar on December 12, 2023, published the Bihar Logistics Policy 2023
This policy shall come into effect from the date of issue of this notification and shall remain in operation for 5 years from the date of issue of notification.
The following objectives of the policy have been stated namely: -
(a) This policy aims towards Promoting private investments in setting up logistics facilities in the state for further streamlining the forward and backward linkages.
(b) Upgrading and improving the existing warehousing and logistics infrastructure to boost economic activities and generate mass employment opportunities
(c) Enhancing the warehousing capacity to promote the interests of both primary and secondary sectors
(d) Promoting green and innovative practices to develop a competitive logistics infrastructure in the State.
(e) This policy is proposed to make the logistics sector in the State more attractive to potential investors.
(f) This Policy is aimed at defining the broad contours of the Government's mission towards augmenting the development of the logistics Industry.
(g) The policy aims to establish Bihar as a competitive and favored investment destination, achieve regional development, diversify exports, and augment livelihood opportunities for its people through resilient economic development
