The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJ&E) on December 06, 2023, issued the Draft Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017
The following has been amended namely: -
• Rule 15 which states “Rules for Accessibility”, in sub-rule (1) the following clause shall be inserted, namely: -
“(k) Accessibility Standards for in Port Sector as specified in the notification of the Ministry of Port Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, vide number F. No. CD-11053/63/2021-Coord, dated the 8th November 2023.”
