The Government of Karnataka on December 13, 2023, published the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments (Amendment) Bill, 2023 to further amend the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997.
It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from May 01, 2003.
The following has been amended namely: -
• In the Section that states “Repeal and Saving” the following changes shall be made: -
(i) In sub-section (1) after clause (c), the following shall be inserted namely:-
“(d) The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (Bombay Act No. XXIX of 1950);”
(ii) in sub-section (2) clause (a), shall be omitted.
