The Department of Revenue and Land Reforms, Government of Bihar on December 14, 2023, notified regarding the Aadhaar authentication of landholders.
It is stated that the Aadhaar authentication of landholders being identified shall be performed through the online portal. This will be done using a Yes/No authentication facility, voluntarily. This is for the authentication of every landholder during the door-to-door Aadhaar authentication drive, while preparing the Record of Rights during Bihar Special Survey and taking mutation and their certification. This will prevent fraud and impersonation and also will ensure a smooth transfer of benefits to the farmers under various schemes.
This Notification shall come into force from December 14, 2023.
