The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, (DAHD) on December 12, 2023, issued a direction mandating the birth and death details to be registered on the Bharat Pashudhan app/web portal
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that All birth and death details shall be registered mandatorily on the Bharat Pashudhan app/web portal with immediate effect.
• The Standard operational protocol/process flows for the same have been attached as Annexure
• It states that the State Government shall designate a Village Level Nodal person to ensure the recording of animal birth and animal death within his/her jurisdiction and within the specified time period on the NDLM platform.
• It states that the animal owner shall report the death of the animal within 24 hours of the death of the animal to the designated Village Level Nodal person, nearest veterinary health center, call center, etc. indicating the unique Tag ID of the dead animal along with date and time of death.
• It states that the concerned Village Level Nodal person shall enter the details of death such as Date, and time of death along with the probable reason for death utilizing the Animal modification functionality of the Bharat Pashudhan (NDLM) App within 2 days of such recording of the death of the animal.
