The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on December 07, 2023, issued the National Repowering & Life Extension Policy for Wind Power Projects 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The objective of the policy is the optimum utilization of wind energy resource by maximizing energy (kWH0 yield per sq. km of the project area and utilizing the latest state-of-the art onshore Wind turbine technologies.
• Eligibility: -
1. All wind turbines which are not in compliance with the quality order issued by this ministry.
2. Have completed their design life as certified under the Type Test Certificate in accordance with the applicable relevant standards.
