The Government of Karnataka on Monday 11, 2023, issued the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and Certain Other Law (Amendment) Act, 2023 to further amend the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Act, 2020 and Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976.
The following has been amended under the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Act, 2020 namely: -
• Section 2 which specified “Definitions” the following has been inserted namely: -
1. 26A – Ground Rent
2. 26B – Guidance Value
3. 49A – Scrutiny fee
• Section 240A which states “Procedure for grant of sanction of building plan” sub-clauses (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) under sub-section (3) in clause (A) has been substituted.
The following has been amended under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 namely: -
• Section 2 which states “Definitions”
1. 13A – Ground rent
2. 13B – Guidance Value
3. 37A – Scrutiny fee
The provisions of sections 2 and 3 shall deemed to have come into force with effect from January 11, 2021 and September 04, 2015 respectively.
