The National Medical Commission on December 19, 2023, issued a notification to amend the detailed Guidelines under Regulation 10 of the Establishment of New Medical Institutions, Starting of New Medical Courses, Increase of Seats for Existing Courses & Assessment and Rating Regulations, 2023 and Regulation 19 of the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 2023 notified vide ADVT-III/4/Exty/360/2023-24 dated August 16, 2023.
The following amendment has been stated:
• Schedule I which states the Accommodation In The Medical College And Its Associated Teaching Hospitals, A.1 General Remarks, “3.1 AEBAS”, has been substituted with the following:
“3.1 AEBAS - i) All Medical Colleges/institutions shall connect with a centralized AEBAS system for marking attendance of the required staff (faculty, residents and supporting staff) and NMC will access attendance data online from the centralized AEBAS system.”
