Industry Specific Compliance The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on December 22, 2023, issued an Addendum to "Sun-setting of ISO 8583 messaging specification on IMPS" on revised timelines.

All member entities of IMPS shall take note and complete the migration before January 31, 2024, after which all the nodes of the banks live on ISO 8583 messaging will be turned down and no transactions will be received or sent from NPCI in ISO 8583 messaging.
