The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on December 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Producers, Manufacturers, Recyclers and refurbishers under E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
The following has been stated:
• It has that an online portal for the management of E-Waste has been developed under the provisions of E-Waste (M) Rules, 2022. The online portal is available at https://eprewastecpcb.in/#/
. All the concerned entities i.e. Producers, Manufacturers, Recyclers and Refurbishers of E-Waste are hereby requested to get themselves registered at the online EPR Portal by December 31, 2023. Procedural details for registration are provided at the portal itself. Further clarification may also be sought at [email protected].
• Any illegal /informal business of e-waste such as its production, import, sales, recycling & refurbishing without registration shall call for punitive actions as per the rules.
