The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on December 27, 2023, issued the Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2023, to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 138, which states “Signals and additional safety measures for [motor vehicle]”, in sub-rule (4), in clause (d), after the words and letters “Centrimide B.P. in a non-greasy base,”, the words and figure “a tube of Feracrylum of 1% gel” has been inserted.
The objections or suggestions that may be received from any person to the said draft rules will be considered by the Central Government before the expiry of 30 days from December 27, 2023.

The notification will come into force from December 27, 2023.
