The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 01, 2024, issued the amendment to notification no 18/2022 – Central Excise which states “to reduce the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of Petroleum Crude and export of Aviation Turbine Fuel”
The following has been amended namely: -
• In the said notification, in Table, -
1. Against S. No. 1 which states “Petroleum Crude” the rate shall be substituted to: -
“Rs. 2300 per tonne”
2. Against S. No. 2 which states “Aviation Turbine Fuel” the rate shall be substituted to: -
“Rs. Nil per litre”
This notification shall come into force on January 02, 2024.
