Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on January 03, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Centralized mechanism for reporting the demise of an investor through KRAs.

The following has been stated namely: -

• A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been prepared in consultation with Stock Exchanges, Depositories, industry associations like the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), Registrars Association of India (RAIN), MF registrars, KRAs, Association of Registered Investment Advisers [ARIA], Broker’s association, etc. 

• The said SOP is attached as Annexure A.

• Based on the above SOP, the KRA shall provide the list of PANs that fall under the above category to Exchange daily. The Exchange shall de-activate the UCCs of such PANs from January 03, 2024.
