Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Communications on January 03, 2024, issued the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933.

The following amendment has been stated:

• In rule 42, which states “Registered Newspaper”, sub-rule (5) shall be omitted.

• In rule 43 A, which states “Logistic Post” of the said rules, sub-rule (4) shall be omitted.

• In rule 194 B, which states “Price of Stamps”, of the said rules, sub-rule (2) shall be omitted.

This notification will come into force from January 03, 2024.
