The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on January 04, 2024, issued the Polyethylene Material for Moulding and Extrusion (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2024 to further amend the Polyethylene Material for Moulding and Extrusion (Quality Control) Order, 2022
This shall come into force on January 04, 2024
The following has been stated namely:
It states that in Para 1 related to applicability in sub¬paragraph (3), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
"Provided that, nothing in this Order shall apply to the following classes of polyethylene material for molding and extrusion, namely: -
(a) Low-Density Polyethylene Extrusion (LDPE) Coating;
(b) Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Film Grades (Blown/ Cast) or Pharma;
(c) Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Butene Grades;
(d) Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Hexene/ Octene Grades;
(e) Metallocene Polyethylene Grades;
(f) Base Resins of Power Cable, Jacketing, and other applications; and
(g) compounds for Cable Jacketing/ Sheathing/ Polyethylene-80 and Polyethylene-100 (Black and Pigmented)/ Reinforcement Fillers".
