The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on January 05, 2024, notified the Draft Press and Registration of Periodicals Rules, 2024 under the powers conferred under the Press and Registration of Periodicals Act, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 lays down various definitions like ‘Central Bureau of Communication’ ‘Bharat Kosh’ and others.
•Rule 3 talks about the Intimation by A Printer.
•Rule 4 talks about the Registration of Facsimile Edition of a Foreign Periodical.
Stakeholders and the general public may provide suggestions /comments on the Draft Press and Registration of Periodicals Rules, 2024 through post within 30 days of publication of this notification.
