Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) on January 03, 2024, issued the advisory to Scheduled MSOs to get their status changed to "Compliant".

The following has been stated namely: -

• Broadcasters are to communicate to the Scheduled MSOs who have interconnection agreements with them to get their status changed to "Compliant" by January 31, 2024

• The copy of such communication shall be marked to this Ministry. 

• Broadcasters are advised to not enter into fresh interconnection agreements or renew the existing agreements with MSOs till their status is changed to Compliant.

• The Scheduled MSOs are to furnish the requisite details/information and get their status changed to "Compliant" latest by January 31, 2024, failing which their MSO Registration shall be liable to be cancelled.

• This advisory may be treated as a last opportunity for alteration of compliance status.

• The list of MSOs who are Non-Compliant but have interconnecting Agreements with at least one major Broadcaster has been listed below.
