Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) on January 05, 2024, issued the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance Base Premium and Liability) Amendment Rules, 2024, to further amend the Motor Vehicles (Third Party Insurance Base Premium and Liability) Rules, 2022.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In rule 2, which states “Base premium and liability”:

(i) In Table II, in the entries relating to category C 1b, for the entries under Columns (3) and (4), the following entries shall, respectively, be substituted, namely: "2,371" and "1,134".

(ii) In Table VII, in the entries relating to category C 1b, for the entries under Columns (3) and (4), the following entries shall, respectively, be substituted, namely: "1,539" and "737".

This notification will come into force from January 05, 2024.
