EHS ComplianceThe Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) on January 01, 2024, issued a circular regarding the Harmonization of the classification of industrial Sectors into Red, Orange, Green and White Categories.

The CPCB has categorized additional industrial sectors from time to time and communicated to the SPCBs/ PCCs for implementation. The Board vide references 2nd to 6th cited instructed all ZOs & ROs to implement the CPCB directions.

The CPCB has categorized the additional eleven industrial sectors, viz., (i) Scrapping Centre (ii) Used Cooking Oil Collection Centre (iii)Compressed / Refined Biogas (iv) Railway Stations, (v) Dairy Farms & (vi) Gaushalas, (vii) Building and Construction Projects having built-up area up to 20,000 m2 and wastewater generation > 50 KLD, (viii) Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Processing Plants, and (ix) Gold Assaying & Hallmarking Centres, (x) Semiconductor Manufacturing industries, (xi) Sand/riverbed material mining from the riverbed and its floodplains.
