The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on January 09, 2024, issued the Draft Insecticides (First Amendment) Rules, 2024, to further amend the Insecticides Rules, 1971.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In rule 10, which states “Licence for sale, etc., of insecticides”, in sub-rule (1A), in the first proviso, for the figures, letters and word “December 31, 2023” the figures, letters and word “June 30, 2024” shall be substituted.
Objections or suggestions that may be received from any person in respect of the said draft rules will be considered by the Central Government before the expiry of 30 days from the date on which copies of this notification are made available to the public;
Objections and suggestions with respect to the said draft rules may be forwarded to the Joint Secretary (Plant Protection), Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi-110001 or through email at [email protected].
This notification will come into force from January 09, 2024.
