The Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) on January 07, 2024, issued a notification inviting Comments on the proposal for the determination of an Additional Surcharge to meet the fixed cost of UPCL arising out of its obligation to supply electricity to the Open Access Consumers.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has invited Comments on the proposal for the determination of an Additional Surcharge in accordance with the provisions of UERC (Terms and Conditions of intra–State Open Access) Regulations, 2015 to meet the fixed cost of UPCL arising out of its obligation to supply electricity to the Open Access Consumers.
• The computation of Additional Surcharge to be levied on Open Access Consumers, for the period April 01, 2024 to September 30, 2024, has been given in the Table attached.
• It states that the Responses/suggestions, if any, from consumers and other stakeholders on the Petition may be sent to the Secretary, Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission, either in person or by post at ‘Vidyut Niyamak Bhawan’, Near ISBT, PO-Majra, Dehradun-248171 or through e-mail to [email protected] by January 31, 2024.
