The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on January 09, 2024, issued the Date of Establishment and Withdrawal for certain Indian Standards.
The following IS were established on December 29, 2023, namely: -
• IS 5960 (Part 1) : 2023/ISO 937 : 2023 Meat and Meat Products — Methods of Test Part 1 Determination of Nitrogen Content (Second Revision)
• IS 6559 : 2023 Ante-Mortem and Post-Mortem Inspection of Poultry — Code of Practice (First Revision)
• IS 7997 : 2023 Tasting Products of Intense Flavour — Guide (First Revision)
• IS 18255 : 2023 Fibre –Reinforced Polymer (FRP) Bars for Concrete Reinforcement — Methods of Test
The IS will be withdrawn on January 29, 2024, namely: -
• IS 6559 : 1972 Code of Practice for Ante-Mortem and Post-Mortem Inspection of Poultry
• IS 7049 : 1973 Code for Handling, Processing, Quality Evaluation and Storage of Poultry
• IS 7997 : 1976 Guide for Tasting Products of Intense Flavour
• IS 10642 : 1983 General Guidelines for Consumer Sensory Evaluation of Foods and Beverages
