The University Grants Commission (UGC) on January 09, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Implementation of UGC Guidelines on a 'sustainable and Vibrant University-Industry Linkage System for Indian Universities'.
The following has been stated: -
•UGC has formulated guidelines titled "sustainable and Vibrant (University-industry Linkage system for Indian Universities" and these are aimed at fostering collaboration between academia and industry, thereby developing a robust ecosystem for research" innovation, and knowledge transfer. The guidelines are available on the UGC website.
•All the Higher Education Institutions are requested to take necessary action for implementation of the guidelines in letter and spirit.
•Further, it is informed that UGC may review the implementation of these guidelines by the Universities as part of the National Education Policy implementation plan and take measures thereof.
