The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on January 09, 2024, issued the Draft Combined Airworthiness Organisation (CAR).
The following has been stated namely: -
• This CAR establishes the requirements to be met by a combined airworthiness organisation (CAO) in order to be issued, upon application, approval for the maintenance and continuing airworthiness management of aircraft and components for installation thereon, and to continue carrying out those activities, where such aircraft are not classified as complex motor-powered aircraft and are not listed in the AOC/NSOP of schedule/Non-schedule air operator.
• CAOs shall apply for the issuance of, or change to, a CAO approval to the DGCA in a form and manner established by the DGCA
• The Appendices to CAR – CAO have been attached to the notification.
