The National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) on January 12, 2024, issued a circular regarding the update on withholding payout for certain trades dated February 21, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•This is further to the Exchange circular No. NSE/SURV/55771 dated February 24, 2023, regarding “withholding payout for certain trades dated February 21, 2023” wherein the Exchange had issued relevant communication to the respective Trading Members along with stocks/contracts details.
•The Exchange is in receipt of a letter dated January 10, 2024, from the Enforcement Authority instructing the release of Funds/Securities withheld in this matter, except for a specific client as per the details provided Enforcement Authority.
•Accordingly, the Securities and Funds payout w.r.t certain client (s) who were counterparties for the said trades in certain stocks/contracts have been released. Trading members are requested to take note of the same.
