The Government of Himachal Pradesh on November 30, 2023, notified the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for BDS/MDS (Dental Surgeon) to open/set up private Clinics under “Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgaar Yojana-2023 by any unemployed Dental Surgeon as per Annexure- “A” in the public interest.
The highlights of the scheme are as stated:
The scheme applies to BDS/MDS Dental Surgeons who are of the age of 22 years or more and up to the age of 45 years at the time of filling the common application form on the Industries (Labour) Department website RGSY Portal. An upper age relaxation of 5 years is allowed for women.
The objective of the Scheme is to motivate MDS/BDS Dental Surgeon of H.P self-employment and give start-up assistance to young Dentists by providing a subsidy of 40% on Rs. 5.00 Lakh for one Dental Facility for the purchase of Material and equipment. Young Lady Dentists will be given a 50 % Subsidy.
One Dentist with a single Dental chair may be considered as one dental Facility for the desired Specification for a Dental chair.
Any Dental Surgeon interested in opening a private Dental Clinic shall apply for permission through the dedicated online portal of the Directorate of Dental Health Services.
This shall come into force with immediate effect.
