EHS ComplianceThe Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) on January 10, 2024, issued a Circular regarding the environmental standards with Siting Criteria for Hot Mix Plants in the State of Maharashtra

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that this shall be applicable to all Hot Mix Plants covered under the consent management regime of the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.

• It states that the permissions/grant of NOC shall be issued by the concerned local body/ concerned planning authority.

•It states that The minimum stack height for the Hot Mix Plant shall be calculated as Stack height (Hs)=14(Q)°-3 where Q is the SO2 emission rate in kg/hr.

• It states that Only the approved fuel as specified by State Pollution Control Boards or Pollution Control Committees shall be used.

• It states that the Dust emission from material handling shall be contained with water sprinkling or by covering the points of dust emission.

• The internal roads working platform loading and unloading area in premises should be paved and kept clean at all times.

• It states that the Use of Recycled Asphalt Payment (RSP) shall be allowed in the aggregates.

• It further states that Any process rejected or left over the hot mix shall be recycled in the process.
