The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on January 12, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Update on withholding payout for certain trades dated February 21, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is further to the Exchange circular No. NSE/SURV/55771 dated February 24, 2023, regarding “withholding payout for certain trades dated 21st February 2023”.
• The Exchange has been instructed to release the Funds/Securities withheld in this matter, except for a specific client as per the details provided Enforcement Authority.
• Accordingly, the Securities and Funds payout w.r.t certain client (s) who were counterparties for the said trades in certain stocks/contracts have been released.
