The Government of Odisha on January 10, 2024, issued the Operational Guidelines for Electricity Duty Exemption for MSMEs
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that new enterprises with investment in Plant & Machinery up to INR 50 crores, except units/activities listed under Annexure-II of Odisha MSMED Policy-2022
• It states that the Eligible Industrial unit that has availed this incentive under any scheme of the State Government or Government of India or Government Agencies shall be entitled only to the differential amount of benefit.
• The industrial units with a contract demand of power load above 750 KVA shall not be eligible for Electricity Duty exemption under this Policy.
• It states that the Eligible enterprises shall file their claim in the AIM portal (https://odishamsme.nic.in), within two years from the date of starting commercial production.
• The Eligible new enterprises shall submit an online application (as per Annexure-A), with the uploading of supporting documents (as per Annexure-B)
