The Government of Maharashtra on January 15, 2024, issued Maharashtra Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Ordinance, 2024 further to amend the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.
The following has been stated: -
•In section 73-ID of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, which talks about the Motion of no-confidence against officers of societies in sub-section (2), in the proviso, for the words "six months "the words "two years" shall be substituted.
It shall come into force at once.
