Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on January 17, 2024, issued the reminder for the Revised format for Unique Client Code (UCC).

The following has been stated namely: -

• The old UCC format will be discontinued starting January 22, 2024, 

• Failure to implement necessary changes by January 19, 2024, may impact the onboarding process. 

• The new format comes into effect from January 22, 2024, for client code registration and modification. 

• Trading Members should be aware of the temporary option for submitting or adjusting new fields in the UCC module, as outlined in Exchange notice no. 20231227-66 dated December 27, 2023, for clients seeking Trading supported by Blocked Amount in the Secondary Market, will no longer be available. 

• Only the records uploaded through the UCC module with successfully validated PAN, bank details, and demat details by 4:00 p.m. on the trading day will qualify for trading under UPI.
