Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) on January 17, 2024, issued a circular regarding the trading supported by Blocked Amount in Secondary Market – Revised file format UCC.

The following has been stated: -

•Trading Members are directed to adhere to Exchange circular ref. no. NSE/ISC/59983 dated December 27, 2023. The old UCC format will be discontinued starting January 22, 2024, and any failure to implement necessary changes by January 19, 2024, may impact the onboarding process. Hence, Members are requested to ensure necessary updates are made to the systems to support the new UCC structure, as the new format comes in effect on January 22, 2024, for client code registration and modification.

•It is also being informed that the temporary option for submitting or adjusting new fields in the UCC module for clients seeking Trading supported by Blocked Amount in the Secondary Market, will no longer be available.
