EHS Compliance The Government of Goa on November 29, 2024, issued the Goa Preservation of Trees (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Goa, Daman and Diu Preservation of Trees Rules, 1983.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In rule 6A, for clause (b), the following clause has been substituted, namely:

"(b) Security deposit for ensuring regeneration of the area and re-plantation of trees or otherwise Rs. 1,000/- per tree in case of an individual and Rs. 5,000/- per tree in other cases.".
