The Government of Lakshadweep on January 16, 2024, issued a circular regarding the application for DSC (Digital Signature Certificate).
The following has been stated: -
•In continuation of the letter issued by the IT Department vide F. No LD- 01002(12)/1/2019-LITSS-UT-LKS dated: October 12, 2023, it is informed that multiple draft orders/circulars/notices may have to be approved and signed electronically as a part of using eOffice. A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) an electronic document that verifies the user's identity and the authenticity of the documents online, is required for this purpose.
•To initiate the DSC application process, the user can fill out the form online (Refer to Annexure-A) or may approach to Common Service Centres (CSC)/Ashraya center at Kavaratti located near 1) Pushpa Junction.
• The following documents are required for applying for DSC:
a) Proof of Identity: Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
b) Proof of Address: Voter Card/Ration Card/Utility bill/Bank Statement, etc.
c) One Passport-sized photograph.
•All the Departmental Heads are requested to ensure the availability of a Digital Signature Certificate to all Gazetted officers (dealing with files) and office superintendents in the first phase.
