The Government of Lakshadweep on January 16, 2024, issued a notification regarding the process of applying for a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
The following has been stated:
• To initiate VPN access, the user must apply through the eForms website (https://eforms.nic.in). A comprehensive Step-by-Step Manual is as follows:
Step 1: Apply for VPN through the eForms website (https://eforms.nic.in/)- Annexure "A"
Step 2: Approving by the Reporting Officer (Secretaries/Departmental Heads)-Annexure "B"
Step 3: Approval by the State Coordinator (NIC) - Annexure "C"
Step 4: Accessing of Office, after successful obtaining of VPN- Annexure "D"
• All the Departmental Heads are therefore requested to follow the above procedure for applying/approving VPN requests for accessing the Office outside of the SWAN Network.
