The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on January 19, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Non-availability of Exchange / Deposit facility of ₹2000 banknotes at RBI on January 22, 2024.
The following has been stated:
• The facility of exchange/deposit of ₹2000 banknotes will not be available on Monday, January 22, 2024, at any of the 19 Issue Offices of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) due to the half-day closure announced by the Government of India.
• The facility will resume on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
