The Government of Maharashtra on January 19, 2024, notified the Maharashtra State Board of Art Education Act, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Section 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like Art, Art Institute, and others.
•Section 3 and Section 4 is about the establishment, powers, and duties of the governing council.
•Section 5 is about the establishment of the Maharashtra State Board of Art Education.
•Section 7 mentions the objects of the Board.
•Section 8 is about the powers and duties of the Board.
This act shall come into force on the date which the State Government will appoint.
