The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 22, 2024, issued a notification regarding the enforcement date of certain provisions of the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation Act, 1961.
The following has been stated: -
•In the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, the Central Government appointed the amendments in the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation Act, 1961 mentioned in column (5) of Schedule to the Act, against serial number 15 mentioned in column (1) of the Schedule, shall come into force from January 22, 2024.
