The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on January 23, 2024, notified the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 3 lays down various definitions of terms like consumer representative, and consumer association.
•Rule 4 specifies that the Words and Expressions Used in These Regulations that are not defined here but defined in the Act or Any Other Regulations of the Commission shall have the same meaning assigned to them under the Act or Any Other Regulations of the Commission.
•Chapter II is about the Office of the Commission, Office Hours, Sittings, etc.
Rule 7 is about the Commission's Office.
Rule 8 mentions about the Office Hours.
Rule 9 is about the Place of Sitting of the Commission and Sitting Hours.
These regulations shall come into force from January 24, 2024.
