Labour ComplianceThe Employees State Insurance Corporation of India (ESIC) on January 25, 2024, issued the revised SOPs for ESIC Hospitals for Home delivery of Drugs

The following has been stated namely: -

• The eligibility criteria have been stated as follows namely: -

(i) It states that All Senior Citizens (above 60 years) with chronic illness are entitled to treatment with ESIC, receive consultations from hospitals and prescribed medicines for more than 30 days, and are desirous of having their drugs delivered at home.

(ii) All ESIC beneficiaries, ESIC Employees and their dependents, pensioners seeking teleconsultation through e-Sanjeevani'

(iii)  Handicapped and bedridden patients on medication for chronic disease will also be eligible for home delivery of drugs if desired by such patients.

• It states that the Medicines up to a maximum of 90 days may be issued to the entitled patient through the Home delivery option.

• It states that the Bills are to be processed on a monthly basis upon submission of proof of delivery.
