The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on January 25, 2024, issued the All India Council for Technical Education (Grant of Approvals for the Technical Institutions) guidelines, 2024-27, in supersession of the All India Council for Technical Education (Grant of Approvals for the Technical Institutions) Regulations, 2020.
The following provisions have been stated:
• Time Limit for the grant of LoA/EoA:
LoA/EoA shall not be granted after April 30 of every Calendar Year in view of the order dated December 13, 2012, passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in CA no.9048/2012 titled as Parsvanath Charitable Trust and others Vs AICTE and Ors.
In case, the deficiencies are complied with subsequently during the Academic Year, the approval shall be granted under extraordinary circumstances, for the next Academic Year.
• Procedure for restoration against punitive action except in case of Withdrawal of Approval
Institutions shall have to make an application for restoration of intake and the same shall be processed as specified in the Approval Process Handbook.
