The Government of Nagaland on December 22, 2023, Nagaland issued changes made in the form of exemptions Benzodiazepine Drugs shall be exempted from the purview of the notification for the Hospitals and Clinic that are registered under the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Act, 1997 namely:
(i) Alprazolam
(ii) Diazepam
(iii) Lorazepam
(iv) Nitrazepam
This exemption shall be subject to the following conditions:-
All registered Hospitals and Clinics shall maintain a Register for sale of Schedule H1
Drugs as required under Rule 65 of the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules 1945.
All registers and records shall be made available and produced for inspection before the Drugs Control Authority as per clause (6) of Rule 65 of the aforementioned Rules."
