The Nagaland Pollution Control Board, (NPCB) on January 25, 2024, notified the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022 for the effective management of waste tyres through the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility Regime.
In compliance with this rule, an online Waste Tyre Portal has been developed and is available at www.eprivresepcb.in. Producers and Recyclers of waste tyres are required to register on this Portal developed by the Central Pollution Control Board.
Furthermore, tyres and tubes vulcanization/hot retreading tyres and tube retreading (without boilers) are directed to apply for Consent to Establish/Operate under the Air/ Water Acts from the Nagaland Pollution Control Board.
