The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) on January 29, 2024, notified the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Subscriber Education and Protection Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2023 to amend the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Subscriber Education and Protection Fund) Regulations, 2015.
The following has been stated: -
•Clause (d) of regulation 4 of the principal regulations shall be deleted.
•Clause (d) of sub-regulation (2) of regulation 5 of the principal regulations shall be deleted.
•Clause (a) of sub-regulation (3) of regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be substituted as follows: “(a) The term of office of the members referred to in clause (c) of sub-regulation (2) of this regulation shall be three years, which may be extended for a further period of two years;”
These shall come into force on January 30, 2024.
