The Government of Madhya Pradesh on January 26, 2024, notified the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Verification of Captive Generating Plants and Captive Users) Regulations, 2023, First Amendment (G-45 (i) of 2024) to amend the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulation Commission (Verification of Captive Generating Plants and Captive Users) Regulations, 2023 (G-45 of 2023).
The following has been stated: -
•The objective of these Regulations is to specify the methodology for verification of the status of Captive Generating plants and Captive User(s) when consumers import power from their Captive generator located within the State and the consequences of not meeting the conditions of either Captive Generator or Captive User.
•Amendment to regulation 4:
Sub-clause (g1) shall be inserted after sub-clause (g) in Regulation 4.1, namely: - (g1) "Holding Company" shall have the same meaning as defined in clause (46) of section 2 of the "Companies Act,2013(18 of 2013)" as amended from time to time;"
•In Row (iii) of Table provided under subclause (d) of Regulation 6.4 of the Principal Regulation shall be deleted.
These Regulations shall come into force from January 26, 2024.
